Job Description

The candidate should enjoy working with both people and data.  They will conduct analysis and data development for a broad range of reporting and analytic functions.  This support will include monthly/quarterly reporting, financial planning and projections and trend analysis.  Reporting includes but is not limited to commercial pay for performance and risk reports, as well as other provider analytics.  This role will work closely with other teams within Network Contracting and Performance Management and on cross-departmental workgroups.


This is a senior analytical and technical position and as such, must be able to perform independently and execute and/or oversee all the analytical and technical tasks required to take a project from inception to completion.


A thorough understanding of the health insurance industry with proficiency in relational databases, data warehouses, Excel and financial modeling, as well as strong interpersonal skills, is required.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION: (Minimum education & certifications required)

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.


EXPERIENCE: (Years of experience)

  • 5 years of experience.

Demonstrated experience in analytic project design.
Develops analyses, examines and interprets results in the context of the specific business questions being addressed.
Analyzes trends, investigates unusual results and offers explanations.


Proficiency in the use of personal computers, relational databases, statistical packages, spreadsheet and/or database applications.  Knowledge of Excel and SAS or SPSS is required.
Ability to interpret contract language relative to reporting requirements.
Ability to design, build and maintain complex technical applications.


Well-developed verbal and written skills
Packages results to demonstrate how the analysis meets project objectives
Able to facilitate planning and review sessions
Solid presentation skills; presents to senior level department management and/or project teams


Receives regular management oversight of selected tasks, projects and processes.
Applies own judgment on most analytical and technical issues, with input on organization and implementation.


Must be able to work cooperatively as a team member, with regular interface among various levels of staff and management required.
