Prepare and teach 15-credit hours of world language (Spanish) courses per semester. Receive a two-course reassignment (6-credit hours) to coordinate the World Language program on CCBC's Essex and Dundalk campuses. 
 Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in a world language (Spanish) or a related field, such as Applied Linguistics or Education.  Spanish fluency and expertise, and experience teaching college-level Spanish courses.  Strong written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in a diverse workplace.  Experience with curriculum development and instructional technology.  Evidence of an effective, creative, and communicative student-centered approach to language instruction that integrates culture and sociopolitical aspects of language.   Administrative experience appropriate to program coordination. 
Community college teaching experience and online teaching experience; experience with community engagement and program development; experience with curriculum development; experience teaching at least one other language offered at CCBC.Languages offered at CCBC: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian and Spanish.

 Class Specific Essential Duties: Stay current in the discipline, support adjunct faculty, use instructional technology, and participate with other faculty in developing and evaluating courses and curricula. Collaborate effectively with colleagues from other disciplines, college support staff, student groups, and community organizations. Participate in college committees and projects, and seek continuous professional development in teaching methodologies and practices.
